third life of grange copeland.

I've never really been in love with the "The Color Purple". If i had, i'd have been reading Ms. Walker during my whole Pearl Cleage frenzy. This book is beautiful in such a simplistic, gory, historical yet unreal sort of way. I recommend it to all ages that can stomach life within it's entirety. Surrounding the civil rights movement, the struggle of life after slavery, and the cycle of constant abuse within black families it is in my mind a classic. It's an oldie, but a goodie. Bravo Miss Walker.
