Recipe: Caramel Apple Porkchops

This is my favorite recipe ever. It's my go to whenever I'm whipping up something special for a special someone. Wink. I hope it becomes one of your favorites too.

You'll need:

  • 4 Pork Loin Boneless Center Cut Butterfly Chops
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 3 Apples---Cored, Peeled, Sliced
  • 1 Teaspoon of Olive Oil
  • 4 Mushrooms
  • 1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons of Butter
  • Cinnamon Sugar
Lightly salt and pepper your pork chops. Set aside in a bowl.

Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat. Peel, core, and slice your apples. When you're finished, combine brown sugar, salt and pepper (not too much!), and cinnamon sugar in a bowl. Add butter, spices/sugar mixture, and sliced apples to the skillet.

Cover and cook the apples until tender. Turn off afterwards.

In a separate skillet, on medium high heat, add a teaspoon of olive oil and put the pork chops on. Add mushrooms after 1 minute.

Cook pork chops on each side for 5-6 minutes, or until juices run clear/golden on the outside. I like my pork chops well done, as you can see above. Add the apple mixture to the skillet w/ the pork chops and cook for 1-2 more minutes. (I sprinkled a little garlic onion seasoning on it too.) Plate accordingly and garnish if you'd like! Enjoy!

What else can you use besides Mushrooms?
